- What area does Opes Ventures invest/operate in?
We invest/operate in all types of opportunities to which we believe we can add value. Opes Ventures focuses on infrastructure development, leisure activities, and technology with the potential to redefine current economics and/or business models.
- At what stage does Opes Ventures invest?
Opes Ventures is primarily an early stage investor. We invest when we think we have the ability to add significant value to a project and influence its direction and strategy: this is typically true at the early stages of a project's development. We will sometimes opportunistically invest in the later rounds, if the opportunity appears sufficiently promising and it fits the criteria above.
- How large does an opportunity need to be to attract the interest of Opes Ventures?
We are interested in multi-million dollar deals. The expense of structuring financing and conducting due diligence makes smaller deals cost prohibitive.
- Does Opes Ventures give back to the community?
Opes Ventures encourages its staff to give back to the community. Members of our staff have tutored inner city children, volunteered to assist the elderly, engaged in pro bono legal work, and helped form many nonprofit organizations.
